YOUNG TALENT TAKES THE STAGE AT SONDEKA AWARDS

These two young children, Chris & Esther Mwenyeji, have chosen the path of success as they are quickly gaining celebrity status in Kenya for their musical aptitude.
Sondeka Awards was graced with the performance of a five-year-old boy and his nine-year-old sister namely, Chris and Esther, who wowed the audience with their singing prowess and outstanding stage performance.
spoken word artist/rapper. Both are members of Wahenga Wenyeji Band. A band that brings you experience, diversity and touch that leaves you entertained. The band consists of 7 members namely Musa Munyalo
, Emmanuel Saidimu, Christopher Juma, Esther Adoyo, Sendegeyo Jeff and the two young artists. The band is located in Nairobi Kenya and have partnered with top entertainers, performing on TV and having sold out shows.
Esther and Chris are children of Musa Muyalo, a guitarist in Wahenga Wenyeji Band. He nurtures his children’s musical talents by teaching them how to play instruments and it all started when Munyalo’s children would randomly sing along as he practiced his guitar. The two mostly sing of socially conscious lyrics focusing on child abuse, education and other issues pertaining to the youth.
