GOOGLE IMPACT CHALLENGE

We love to see the smiles on artists’ faces. When creatives partner with Creatives Garage in order to create, they take pride in their productions/art and we share in their joy. Creatives Garage would like to experience more of these joyous moments with even more creatives. We want to put a smile on your face!  

That is why we are proud to announce that Creatives Garage has been selected as a finalist in the Google Impact Challenge 2018.

Our Project, www.Kalabars.com is a Video on Demand platform that seeks to address issues that stifle the creative industry in Kenya. Kalabars focuses on African content, and wants African stories to be told in an African context. We aim to create a residency programme to scale up technical and soft skills for 75 creative artists per year and offer grants to them to create their stories. The goal is that artists earn from their craft and infuse positively into the larger Kenyan economy.    

In the next phase of the Challenge, we have the opportunity to double our funding if we receive the most votes. We therefore need your help!
