[ WHO WE ARE ]

Creatives Garage Trust is a broad-spectrum, member-based platform for creative people. Our aim is to facilitate growth and improve lives of creatives working across Africa. We seek to bring the creative industry together and positively impact society by design.

[ WHAT WE DO ]

We offer a platform for creatives to harness their creative skills, collaborate with other critical thinkers, create, experiment and push boundaries. WE have several events and programs that creatives from any sector can plug into.

[ OUR COMMUNITY ]

We work with anyone who considers themselves a creative. This includes; students, people working an 8-5 job with a creative side-hustle gig or looking to get into the creative industry, creative stay-at-home-moms and professionals working in the industry.

[ PROGRAMS ]

We have specially designed programs and events centered towards educating, experimenting, networking, problem-solving and pushing creative boundaries.

[ OUR PROGRAMMES ]

[ SANAA INITIATIVE ]

The Sanaa initiative aims at empowering girls who have dropped out of school through creative trainings. The goal is to nurture their creative abilities and offer them a different perspective of other income generating ventures that do not put their lives in danger.

[ MINI GARAGE ]

This is a kids club run by the Creatives Garage team that offers kids a platform to nurture their talent, interact and explore their creativity. We involve kids aged 3-10 years in art activities such as painting, colouring, paper-work and drawing at our resource centre.

[ CR8 PROJECT ]

The Cr8 Project is an initiative aimed at providing mentorship to budding Creatives as well as offering them resources that they would otherwise not be able to easily access or afford. The project is intended to run from February to October 2014.

[ THE BATON PROJECT ]

This is a mentorship program that we offer in several education institutions,where we invite designers from various fields to talk to students about their career growth.if you are a school and would like to partner with us kindly contact us.

Sondeka is an urban Kiswahili slang from the word tengeneza that means “to create”.Sondeka is mostly used in Kenyan urban informal settlement. The name is a diamond in the rough suggesting that art shouldn’t be structured to means and ways but should be left to form its own roots.
